Getting ready...who would have thought a two week trip would entail so much preparation!
And two suitcases apiece for two people? One for Summer clothes, one for winter-type clothes of course. But where do all the shoes & sandals go? Into their own suitcase, naturally. Our spare bedroom looks like a disaster zone. And the cats know something is up, they won't leave us alone for a minute...Midori jumps into any open suitcase like 'you're not leaving without me!'
Really can't wait to get on the road.
- find someone to feed the four cats (thanks Craig, Dawn, Crystal & Conner!)
- find someone for emergency service calls (kudos Bill!), and house keys made for them all.
- get the oil changed in the car, get the car in for a check-over for the 2500 mile round trip
- find the summer clothes (wash them), find the snorkels & fins, etc.
- Shop, of course, for new swim suits and a disposable underwater camera
- get the (Xmas) iPod filled, the cameras ready, and make sure you have all the chargers for everything!
- bake for a month so you don't burn as soon as you see sunshine (remember what sunshine is?)
- Find a ride for Kel when her Spring break hits (thanks again Dawn!)
- take the Christmas lights down (yes, there has been just too much snow & cold until this recent weather break), and I had almost 3500 lights up over the entire yard!
