We head into town to hook up with an excursion we signed up for. Today we head off to the barrier reef in the 50' Jolly Roger catamaran. It is too rough on the western side of the island, so we go northeast.
Nice snorkling, lots of fish, but too any people as they tried to keep us in a group. 60 people bumping into each other. Got back onboard and they served us lunch which was great. Also free rum punch until we got back to shore! Woohoo!
Then a trip across the island in a broken-down old school bus repainted bright blue. On to the Gumbalinda Wildlife Refuge. Once we get there, we get to handle cute little monkeys and some beautiful parrots! It starts to rain when we are leaving the park, so on the ride back to the ship on the bus we were wet. It was OK, we were still in our swim suits.
We were exhausted as we got back on the ship about 4:30 p.m., got some grub and went for a swim in the pool. Beautiful evening as we pulled away at 5 p.m. and headed northwest.
